Unwind in the City Launch Event

Thursday 11 July, 5-11pm at Broadworks

We are delighted to be launching our summer programme, Unwind in the City! Unwind in the City is free to all and will offer 8 weeks of music, movement classes and children's art workshops, inviting all visitors, spectators and attendees to prioritise their wellbeing this summer.

To celebrate the launch, we will open up our summer-ified terrace and play music all evening long. We have invited artist Hazel Mead to help brighten up our gallery and terrace with colours and life, and will have exciting and inspiring musicians giving us a taste of what is in store for the rest of the summer.

Doors will open at 5pm with a special view of Carbon & Gold in the gallery, an exhibition by Mark Beattie and Rod McIntosh, who will bring his creativity to life during a live painting on the evening. You will have a unique and rare opportunity to witness his artistic process up close, observing his techniques and seeing the transformation of a blank sheet of paper. Grounded in personal rituals, mindfulness and his own and a shared creative well-being he will paint live in the gallery space for us to witness.

Through the gallery, you can continue upstairs for the wonderful Doctor Gosso and aanjaaliii, who will be playing inspiring music throughout the evening.

The Broadworks terrace bar will be open for the event and we will have Spring Café serving their signature home made plant-based food!

You can find and RSVP for the programme's events in our Unwind in the City Collection.

Unwind in the City is kindly sponsored by EC Bid.
