Carbon & Gold is a collaborative series of work between painter Rod McIntosh and sculptor Mark Beattie.
McIntosh is a specialist working in the production of esoteric Chinese ink abstractions, moulding his personal experience into quiet, reflective, optimistic, and affirming pieces. Showcasing his distinctive and intimate style, the exhibition is a testament to McIntosh’s re-emergence into a world still reeling from the aftermath of Covid as it recovers from a shared trauma. McIntosh’s striking, yet tranquil pieces are known to resonate with his audience.
Mark Beattie MRSS is a British award-winning sculptor. He creates abstract sculptures using various metals and ranging in size from miniature to monumental. Each sculpture is unique and finished in a way that is sensitive to the material. He has developed a signature style through which his sculptures contain movement and fluidity. Mark has recently started using neon which works in harmony with his metalwork and has added a sense of energy to his practice.
All work is available for purchase. The exhibition is available to view Tuesday - Fridays, 8am - 6pm.
Please visit the reception at 57 Old Broad Street or book an appointment.
Closing event will be Thursday 27th June 6-9pm
