The Woodshop of Recycled Delights CIC aims to reduce timber waste, build carpentry skills and confidence and green urban spaces, by sharing the skills and know-how for anyone to improve their outdoor spaces using free reclaimed timber.
This two-part introductory session will cover:
In Part 1 (taking place 27th September) attendees will learn:
- How to source free surplus timber for your projects
- Safety tips/ induction
- Treating and processing your material to make it usable
- Pallet breaking and hardware removal
In Part 2 (taking place 4th October) attendees will learn:
- Basic tool use and carpentry techniques
- Approaches to building some simple garden furniture.
- Practical skills and learn how to build a simple bench and garden planter
Collate ideas and inspiration for further projects and development of Hive's studio garden.
